GRANTS AVAILABLE FROM THE NEW MEXICO COALITION FOR LITERACY

The Coalition makes three types of grants on a competitive basis to local literacy programs in New Mexico, and we are now offering special project grants for a limited time only (see: item 4):

  • 1) Operating Assistance Grants

Grants are awarded on a competitive RFP basis once a year to eligible literacy programs in New Mexico.   The grants can be used for operating costs and are generally in the range of $1,000 to $25,000.  An application form is required along with supporting documentation.  This year, the RFP was issued June 13, 2007, and applications are due 5:00 PM, July 23, 2007.  There will be no exceptions. You must send an original and one copy of your proposal, with a receipt request.

You may download and print the 2007-2008 cover letter, guidelines, and application form from this site by clicking on the links below.
