ARE YOU INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
The NMCL works with over 90 local literacy programs throughout the state. We would be happy to connect you with a program in your community.
There is an ongoing need for volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with students to help them improve their reading and writing skills, English language proficiency, and basic life skills. Your commitment and enthusiasm are all that is required. Comprehensive tutor training is provided by the NMCL.
Local literacy programs also need help in the office and with other duties. Just ask the local program if you are not interested in volunteering as a literacy tutor.
If you would like more information on how you can become involved as a volunteer, send us an e-mail message or call us toll free at 1-800-233-7587. Or, you may contact a literacy program in your community directly by using information found in our Literacy Services Guide. Just look for your city.
