TYPE OF PROGRAM: Adult Basic Education program in a community college. Computer assisted study and developmental studies.
SERVICES OFFERED: Programs include: Adult Basic Education, Project Read, basic skills classes and peer tutoring for students attending college or who are in the ABE program. The ABE program is open to people who are 16 years of age and older who want to improve their basic skills. The classes range from literacy to GED preparation, ESL, life skills, and classes for math, English, and reading. The SMART lab provides computer assisted instruction adults who want to learn English as a second language or improve their basic skills in preparation for the GED or college enrollment.
SPECIAL POPULATIONS: Any community member of San Juan County 16 years of age or older, including disabled students under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
COST OF SERVICE: All programs are free. There is a $40.00 fee for the final GED test. Basic skills classes are for college credit and tutoring is limited to students attending college or enrolled and actively attending ABE/GED classes.
COMMUNITIES SERVED: Aztec, Bloomfield, Farmington, Kirtland, and various areas in San Juan County.

TYPE OF PROGRAM: Volunteer literacy program and an accredited program of ProLiteracy.
SERVICES OFFERED: One-on-one and small group instruction in basic literacy, English as a Second Language, basic skills, and computer-based literacy learning. GED testing from $10 to $40.
COMMUNITIES SERVED: Farmington, Aztec, Bloomfield, Kirtland, and Shiprock. Tutoring sites throughout San Juan County.
