PROLITERACY BASIC READING TUTOR TRAINING: This whole language based training will produce certified ProLiteracy volunteer tutors for volunteer-based community literacy programs. The training takes 18 hours plus your program’s required orientation session and must be comprised of 95% local literacy program volunteers; paid teachers and staff from other types of service providers may not attend the training.
PROLITERACY ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE TUTOR TRAINING: This whole language based training will produce certified ProLiteracy English as a Second Language volunteer tutors. The training takes 18 hours plus your program’s required orientation session and a 2-hour follow-up and must be comprised of 95% local literacy program volunteers; paid teachers and staff from other types of service providers may not attend the training.
